Mental Health
Welcome to St Matthew Academy
At St Matthew Academy, we prioritize creating an environment where children can speak openly and honestly to a trusted member of staff. The mental health and well-being of our students are at the heart and forefront of everything we do.
Our Commitment to Mental Health
- Regular Staff Training: Our staff undergo regular training on mental health, well-being, and child safety to ensure they are well equipped to support our students.
- Senior Mental Health Leads: We have two Senior Mental Health Leads - Jo Chick, who also serves as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, and Ann-Marie Dryden, our Child Protection Officer. They spearhead our comprehensive approach to mental health and well-being across the school.
