On Monday 23rd, St Georges day, 13 pupils from St Matthew Academy received their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award certificates and badges. Over the course of 2017, the pupils learnt a new skill, volunteering within our local community , and completing a physical activity as well as participating in two separate weekend outdoor camping expeditions.

The pupils can feel proud of their achievements on gaining this prestigious award, and take this confidence into their GCSE exams in May.
