Primary hosted a Phonics and Early Reading Workshop, where we explored how we teach phonics and reading using Little Wandle resources. Parents had the chance to see the books and phonics materials we use in school, as well as learn practical strategies to support their children at home. We also covered assessments across EYFS, Year 1, and Year 2, and how we prepare the children for these assessments.

The session offered valuable guidance on where to find helpful resources and provided great tips for building children’s confidence in reading. Feedback from parents was positive, with many expressing that the workshop provided them with new ideas and a clearer understanding of how to support their child’s reading and phonics journey.
