Welcoming Our New Year 3 Light Bearers for 2026–27 

St Matthew Academy is delighted to warmly welcome our new Year 3 Light Bearers for the 2026–27 academic year!

Joining this special leadership group gives our pupils a wonderful opportunity to follow in Jesus’ footsteps by showing kindness, compassion, and care for others throughout our school and local community.

Putting Faith into Action

Our new Light Bearers have already gathered for their very first meeting of the academic year. Together, they discussed practical ways to put their faith into action—focusing on how they can serve others, help those in need, and make a lasting, positive difference in the world around them.

First Big Event: Macmillan Coffee Morning

The team won't have to wait long to get started! Their first official duty will be supporting our Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September.

The children will be hard at work helping to sell tea, coffee, and delicious cakes to parents and pupils to raise vital funds for cancer support.

We are immensely proud of our new Year 3 Light Bearers and look forward to watching them let their light shine as they serve our community with kindness and generosity!
